Institution's Innovation Council
LICET IIC
In the year 2018, the Ministry of Education (MoE) through MoE’s Innovation Cell (MIC) launched the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) in collaboration with AICTE for Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) to systematically foster the culture of innovation and start-up ecosystem in education institutions.
Institutions Innovation Council (IIC) was established in LICET in December 2019. IICs’ role is to engage large number of students and faculty in various innovation and entrepreneurship related activities such as Ideation, Problem solving, Product development, Design Thinking, IPR, Project handling and management at Pre-incubation/Incubation stage.

Foster Innovation Culture
Cultivate an environment where creativity and innovation are encouraged and celebrated among students and faculty.
Contribute to Societal Impact
Encourage innovation that addresses societal challenges and contributes positively to the local community and beyond.
Promote Interdisciplinary Collaboration
Encourage collaboration among students and faculty from different disciplines to tackle complex challenges and generate innovative solutions.
Organize Events and Workshops
Conduct workshops, seminars, hackathons, and competitions to stimulate innovation, enhance problem-solving skills, and provide platforms for idea exchange.
Support Entrepreneurship
Provide resources, mentorship, and guidance to aspiring student entrepreneurs to turn their innovative ideas into viable businesses.
Foster Networking Oppurtunities
Organize networking events, meetups, and conferences to connect students, faculty, alumni, industry professionals, and investors, thereby fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Recognize and Reward Innovation
Establish mechanisms to identify, evaluate, and reward outstanding innovations and innovative projects among students and faculty.
