The students of II Year Mechanical Engineering visited SICAME, an energy business company committed to transmitting safe energy to people all over the world on 10th January 2024.

III Year students Mechanical Engineering students visited Mines, Afforestation and Thermal power plant at Neyveli Lignite Corporation accompanied by Mr James Deepak D and Mr Martin Charles on 22nd May 2023

The III Year Mechanical B section students visited ESTEEM Polymers Pvt Ltd, Chennai

  • The students of III year A mechanical Engineering visited Madras Atomic Power Station (MAPS) located at Kalpakkam about 80 kilometers (50 mi) south of Chennai, India, which is a comprehensive nuclear power production plant on 16th February 2024.
 
  • The students of II Year Mechanical Engineering visited SICAME, an energy business company committed to transmitting safe energy to people all over the world on 10th January 2024.
 
  • The IV Year Mechanical A section students visited TVS BRAKES INDIA PVT LTD, Padi, Chennai. The students were walked through the process of the production department with an advanced automated production line with robots, the quality department, and other activities of the company which specializes in manufacturing braking systems in Automobiles.
 
  • The III Year Mechanical B section students visited ESTEEM Polymers Pvt Ltd, Chennai. The outcome of the visit: The students got an experience in the core mechanical industry (Plastic Component manufacturing). The industry is a Tier 1 supplier to Hyundai Pvt limited and students had the following takeaway from the visit.They are 1. about the plastic components manufacturing process. 2. About the Injection molding process. 3. TOOL room process 4. Quality check and systems 5. Packing and Dispatch on 10th November 2023.
 
  • The IV Year Mechanical B section students visited Woory Automotives, Maraimalai Nagar. The students were walked through various assemblies of automotive products on 18th November 2023
 
  • Students of III MECH A visited Integral Coach Factory, Perambur to visit the shell division and furnishing division on 27th October 2023
 
  • III Year students Mechanical Engineering students visited Mines, Afforestation and Thermal power plant at Neyveli Lignite Corporation accompanied by Mr James Deepak D and Mr Martin Charles on 22nd May 2023.
 
  • Prof Madhavan, Prof / Mech, Mr Prabhu Shankar, AP/Mech and Mr Pandian AP / Mech visited UCAL Industries at Maraimalai Nagar to discuss internship opportunities for the students of Mechanical Engineering on 5th April 2023

Facilities

Central Library

The Central library has a collection of about 36029 books consisting of 10400 volumes of departmental books, 2600 reference books, 1306 CDs/DVDs and subscribes to 45 printed journals and E- Journals like IEEE, ASME, Springer, Elsevier Science Direct etc. 

Hostel

Hostel facilities for both boys and girls are available in the LICET campus with well furnished rooms and modern amenities. The overall atmosphere is very conducive for students to concentrate on studies. 

Seminar Hall

The seminar hall is utilized to conduct all the events in the college like seminars, talks, and celebrations. It is well maintained and spacious in order to accommodate a good amount of audience.
