Oracle Academy
The Department of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science has established an academic collaboration with Oracle Academy to enhance students’ industry-oriented database and programming skills. Through this partnership, students gain access to globally recognized learning resources and certification opportunities in database technologies.


As part of this initiative, 68 second-year students successfully completed and earned certifications in Database Programming with SQL and Database Programming with PL/SQL offered through Oracle Academy. The certification programmes enabled students to develop a strong foundation in database design, query development, data manipulation, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and enterprise-level database management concepts. These industry-recognized certifications strengthen students’ technical competencies and improve their readiness for careers in data management, software development, and database administration.
Industrial Visit
IBM SkillsBuild
The IBM SkillsBuild Two-Day Training Programme through Edunet was conducted on 25th August 2025 as part of an industry interaction initiative. The programme provided participants with valuable exposure to industry-relevant concepts, emerging technologies, and essential digital skills, through structured sessions and guided learning activities, students gained practical insights into current industry practices, workplace expectations, and professional development strategies, thereby enhancing their technical competencies and overall career readiness.
Industrial Visit to LatentView
The Industrial Visit to LatentView Analytics was organised on 29th August 2025 as part of an industry interaction initiative. The visit provided participants with valuable exposure to real-world data analytics practices and industry workflows, through interactive sessions and guided tours, students gained insights into business analytics processes, data-driven decision-making, and the application of advanced analytics tools in solving complex business problems, thereby enhancing their understanding of industry expectations and career opportunities in the analytics domain.
INDUSTRY ACADEMIA CONCLAVE
Industry Academia Conclave was organised to bridge the gap between industry and academia on 24th March 2026. The conclave was titled “Resilience, Innovation & Agility in the Age of AI” to sensitize students to the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence on industries and the importance of adaptability, innovation, and continuous learning in an AI-driven world. The panelists were Mr. Nelson Naveen,CEO & Founder, Catepilla, Origine & Clenz AI (Moderator); Mr. Prabhu Rajendran, Senior Solutions Architect, Cognizant ; Mr. Parthasarathy V, Principal AI Scientist, Verizon; Mr. Jaishree Kasturi, Consultant, Yashmia Consulting & Technologies; and Ms. Sowmya Arasu, Product Owner, Tata Consultancy Services.
Key takeaways from the conclave included the importance of resilience in navigating technological disruptions, fostering innovation through AI-driven solutions, and developing agility to adapt to rapidly evolving industry demands. The discussions emphasized the significance of hands-on projects, interdisciplinary learning, industry engagement, and continuous upskilling in building future-ready AI professionals. The panelists also highlighted that AI is a catalyst for transformation, creating new opportunities and roles that require professionals to embrace lifelong learning, ethical AI practices, and collaborative problem-solving to thrive in the digital era.
