DAIO Project
The first year AI & DS students and Dr. Agarwal Institute of Optometry has collaborated to build a product for the diagnosis and classification of grades in Meibomian gland dysfunction.
- Phase 1: Initial AI concept development with available technology for our project and the requirements list to be generated
- Phase 2: Initial prototype software
- Phase 3: Test on prototype functionality and accuracy on diagnosing mgd with expert feedback
- Phase 4: Working on fine tune systems and handover for validation stage.

Siddheshwaran U R, Nikitha, Nithish Kumar, Robin Joseph, and Anton Gichrist from the department of AI&DS developed an app for Dr. Agarwal Institute of Ophthalmology in the detection of meibomian glands and to calculate the stage of meibomian gland dysfunction under the guidance of Ms. J. Christina and Lt. H. Bemesha Smitha.
