Industry Interaction

DAIKIN Workshop:
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering recently collaborated with Daikin to conduct a two-day hands-on workshop on Air Conditioning and VRV Systems for third-year students. This workshop aimed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of air conditioning principles and Daikin’s VRV systems through theoretical sessions and practical demonstrations. The hands-on training allowed students to gain valuable insights into the latest technologies and applications in the field of air conditioning.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Electrical Engineers League (EEL) conducted a Student Orientation program entitled ‘IoT in Smart Homes and Buildings’ for the students of III-Year & II-Year EEE on 12.08.2024 at G01 from 2 P.M to 4 P.M. The Guest speaker of the day was Ms Ishwariya, Director, Managing Director, Blinc Smart Homes, Chennai who delivered the Session.

The recent collaboration between the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Schwing Stetter for a two-day training program on ‘Basic Hydraulics’ is a commendable initiative. This program, which took place on the 23rd and 24th of May, 2024, offered a balanced approach with 8 hours of instruction, split evenly between theoretical knowledge at LICET and hands-on practical experience at Schwing Stetter. Such partnerships are vital in bridging the gap between academic learning and industry practices, providing students with valuable real-world skills.
