Robotics Workshop

A robotics workshop was conducted by the Minaatral Club in association with Axis Global Institute of Industrial Training on February 13, 2025, as a prerequisite to the highly anticipated ToyBot Competition. The workshop provided participants with a foundational understanding of robotics, covering key concepts such as sensor integration, motor control, microcontroller programming, and autonomous navigation.

ToyBot Turbocharge

ToyBot Turbocharge was a two-day technical event organized by the Minaatral Club of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and conducted on 21 February 2025 and 24 February 2025, aimed at transforming old and discarded toys into functional robots capable of supporting real-world applications. The initiative promoted innovation and sustainability by encouraging participants to repurpose existing toy components using advanced electronics, sensors, and actuators, thereby giving them a new functional life. The event also fostered creativity, problem-solving skills, and hands-on engineering experience among the participants.

Tech Tickle

Tech Tickle is a creative technical meme contest that combines engineering concepts with humor to make learning more engaging and accessible. The event encouraged students to express scientific ideas in a fun, relatable, and visually appealing manner while maintaining technical accuracy. It promoted originality, innovation, and out-of-the-box thinking beyond traditional classroom learning. The competition also strengthened peer interaction and experiential learning through creative participation. Conducted by the Minaatral Club on 23 October 2025, it served as an energetic and enjoyable platform for technical learning and creative expression.

Review • Rethink • Reinvent

The Minaatral Club organised a technical paper presentation competition titled Review • Rethink • Reinvent on 23 October 2025, to promote research-oriented thinking and foster future-ready innovation across emerging technology domains among engineering students from various streams at LICET. The presentations delivered by the participating teams were evaluated by Mr. Binu Joel, B.E., PGDBA, who provided valuable insights and constructive suggestions to help students enhance their technical knowledge and presentation skills. The participants demonstrated strong analytical abilities and interdisciplinary perspectives addressing real-world engineering challenges. The event encouraged sustainable and socially impactful technological thinking and served as an excellent platform for academic excellence, collaboration, and meaningful knowledge exchange.

Sensor Applications Using Arduino UNO IDE

A two-day hands-on workshop titled “Sensor Applications Using Arduino UNO IDE” was conducted by the Minaatral Club in association with IEEE and PELS for first-year EEE students on 06.01.26 and 07.01.26 to enhance their practical skills. The program was handled by Dr. S. Sathya Bharathy, AP/EEE, Dr. J. S. Nancy Mary, AP/EEE, and Dr. A. Inba Rexy, ASP/EEE. Students learned Arduino programming and sensor interfacing using LDR, ultrasonic, and humidity sensors through guided practical sessions. Sixty students participated actively, gaining strong foundational knowledge in embedded systems and real-time applications.
