The ECE department’s faculty members are skilled in a wide range of disciplines. They aim to impart sound knowledge and awareness in the latest trends in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The department has a close working relationship with industries and reputable universities. The faculty members are encouraged to enhance their knowledge by attending Faculty Development programmes in premier institutions. They publish quality research work in reputed journals and international and national conferences.
In order to expose the students to the latest trends in the industry, eminent experts from the industry are periodically invited to give lectures/demonstrations to the students on the recent developments in their respective areas. Industrial visits and industrial training are also arranged to give the students first-hand exposure to the industrial environment. In order to keep themselves abreast of the latest technological developments, the faculty members regularly attend seminars and workshops in the different areas of Electronics and Communication Engineering. The department also regularly hosts workshops for faculty members within and outside the college. The faculty members and students are also active participants in NPTEL online courses with many of them securing top honors.

- Dr.A.Anitha Juliette/Associate Professor/ECE attended online Internship program VSD-Online Hardware Design program (Internship) – (4th Feb 2023 to 18th May 2023)
- The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) successfully conducted the 2-day Hands-on Train the Trainer [3TP] Faculty Development Programme (FDP) in collaboration with Tektronix and Sinetec Technologies on 19.10.2023 and 20.10.2023. The Programme included demo with Lab stations for experiments included in the courses of Industrial IoT and Industry 4.0, Signal Integrity, EMI/EMC Pre-compliance testing, Wide bandgap devices, Validation and Testing Technology aligned with the verticals in R2021 syllabus of Anna University.
- The Department of ECE hosted a Physical Mode Six Days Faculty Development Programme from 29.01.2024 to 03.02.2024, sponsored by the Centre for Faculty and Professional Development (CFPD), Anna University, Chennai. The focus of the program was on the course “CEC331-4G/5G Communication Networks”, aligning with the R2021 B.E ECE curriculum of Anna University. Throughout the six-day event, distinguished speakers from the university led insightful sessions, enriching the learning experience for all participants. Around 48 faculty members have participated in the FDP.
- The Department of ECE in Association with LICET IEEE Student Branch – IEEE Photonics Society, MAS Section conducted a three day IEEE workshop on Advancements in Photonics and Optical Networks from 02.05.2024 to 04.05.2024. Faculties from various institutions participated in the event.
- Dr. Anitha Juliette A, Dr. Uma Maheshwari and Dr.Krishna kumari are Doctoral Committee members for scholars pursuing research under Anna University and Hindustan University.

- Dr. Dhilip kumar is a reviewer of the Nano-World Journal and Technical Program Committee Member/Reviewer for 10th International Conference on Advanced Computing and Communication Systems (ICACCS 2024)” to be held during March, 2024
- Dr.Dhilip Kumar served as a Resource Person for the AICTE sponsored ATAL Faculty Development Program under the title “Trends in 5G Networks- Applications in Biomedical Engineering” at Ramco Institute of Technology
- Mr. Mahimai Don Bosco FP, AP & Mr. Robert Rajkumar S, AP/ECE conducted a Hands-on workshop on “Electronic Product Design – End to End” for first year students at LICET in 2024.

Ms Jenifer Suriya is an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, completed her Master’s degree in Applied Electronics and Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Her research interest includes Signal Processing, Embedded System Design. She is actively pursuing her research in the field of solar energy. Also, her research interests extend beyond solar energy, encompassing Signal Processing and Embedded System Design. Her deep expertise in these areas has been instrumental in guiding numerous successful projects in the domains of Deep Learning, Home Automation, and Image & Signal Processing. She encourages a holistic approach to learning, nurturing critical thinking and problem-solving skills among her students.

Dr Anitha Juliette A

Dr Anitha Juliette A completed her B.Tech from Bharathiyar College of Engineering and Technology, Pondicherry University, M.E in VLSI Design from College of Engineering, Anna University, Guindy and Ph.D from Anna University, Chennai. Her research interests include low power VLSI design and image processing. She is an engineering educator, certified by, Indo Universal Collaboration for Engineering Education (IUCEE) International Engineering Educators Certification Program (IIEECP).
Dr Krishna Kumari S
Dr. Krishna Kumari S completed her Ph.D. in the Faculty of Information & Communication from Anna University and has done her M.E in Applied Electronics from College of Engineering, Anna University. She has also completed M.S degree from BITS, Pilani and completed UG degree from Alagappa College of Engineering and Technology (ACCET, Karaikudi). She has a rich teaching experience of over 25 years and has published various research articles in international journals and conferences. She received a patent on “IoT and ML based plant disease detection and classification using image processing” and “Bone stiffness Assessment in joints via MEMS accelerometer during physiotherapy” .
Dr Dhilip Kumar S
Dr. S. Dhilipkumar received the B.E degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering, M.E in Communication Systems and Ph.D in Information and Communication in 2020 from Anna University. His research interest includes MIMO wireless & D2D communication, IoT smart devices, Photonics, Cognitive Radio, 5G and beyond communication. He has more than 8 years of teaching experience and worked in SAC-ISRO respond major project. Co-ordinated number of National and International Events such as IEEE Conferences, AICTE STTPs, Workshops, Guest Lectures. Resource Person for a number of MATLAB workshops and technical Events. Published over 14 articles in reputed Journals. He is a member of IEEE, IEEE Photonics, IEEE Future Networks, IEEE SIGHT and ISTE professional societies.

Mr Mahimai Don Bosco F P
Mr Mahimai Don Bosco F P completed his Master’s Degree in Embedded Systems from SASTRA University, Thanjavur, Tamilnadu, in April 2009. His research interest includes Embedded systems with IoT.
Mr Suman Maria Tony I
Mr. Suman Tony has completed his master’s in Applied Electronics and bachelor’s in Philosophy with over 10 years of teaching experience. He also holds administrative roles in the Jesuit institution. His research interest includes Renewable Energy, Machine Learning, and Sound Engineering. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Machine Learning in Sound Engineering from Hindustan University. He has experience in choreographing and multi-track music album production including the LICET anthem. He is also an expert in ‘DeskTop Designing’ using various professional graphic tools.
Ms Jerlin A
Mrs. Jerlin A has completed Bachelor’s degree in ECE and her master’s in Communication Systems. She has also published a paper on International Journal on Engineering technology and sciences. She has also got a wealthy experience of 6 years as Assistant professor in LICET. She specialises herself in Communication Networks, Wireless and optical communication.
Mr Robert Rajkumar S
Mr Robert Rajkumar S completed his Master’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering and Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. His research interest includes Biomechatronics, Rehabilitation, and Robotics.
Ms Vidhya R
Ms Vidhya R has secured University Rank certificate in U.G from Madras University in the year 2002 and has a teaching experience of over 14 years. She has a rich exposure in programming using LabVIEW and has obtained “Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer” certification from National Instruments in the year 2011. She has been successful in transforming a team of students into a Start-up team at Anna Incubation Center – Anna University. Her research interest includes Image Processing and Embedded System Design.

Mr C.Augustine completed his Master’s degree in Communication Engineering and Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. He has a teaching experience of over 12 years and his research interest includes Communication Networks, and IoT.

She has also published papers in international journals and presented in several International conferences. Her Research interests include image processing and signal processing.
