In the department of Computer Science, the faculty’s expertise and dedication are centered on excellence in application-oriented academic teaching at the Master’s level, cooperative graduation, applied science, and cooperation with a variety of business sectors and foreign partner universities. The obsession with and excitement for potential developments based on today’s possibilities is the common thread that runs through all activities. Faculty and students of the department have been instrumental in developing and maintaining software applications ranging from Performance Evaluation System, Apps for Education, Learning Management System (Moodle), Enterprise-wide Content Management System, and various other campus-wide networking activities.
The department staff also encourages innovative projects and quality research in various interrelated domains. The department is involved in major research on which faculty members and students work in several areas such as Networks, Database, Theoretical Computer Science, Multimedia, Image Processing, Software Engineering, Data Mining, Big Data, Machine Learning, and Internet of Things.

- Dr. L. Remegius Praveen Sahayaraj, AP/CSE has successfully completed the Advanced Technology Program [ATP] training on Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning from Wipro Limited
- Dr. V. J. Sharmila, AP/CSE, and Dr. L. Remegius Praveen Sahayaraj, AP/CSE, have taken up the TalentNext certification assessment and are recognised as mentors for project-based learning (PBL) in .NET Full Stack, a Digital Skills Readiness Programme, and certified as Wipro Certified Faculty by Wipro Limited

- Ms. A. Priya, AP/CSE and Ms. C. Accelia, AP/CSE attended a six days Faculty Development Programme on Neural Networks and Deep Learning conducted in physical mode at Ramanujam Computing Centre, Anna University,Chennai from 29th July 2024 to 3rd August 2024.
- Mr. B. R. Sathish, AP/CSE has completed the MERN stack powered by Mongo DB course with A+ grade issued Naan Mudhalvan program,Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation,Government of Tamil Nadu.
- Dr. V. J. Sharmila, ASP/CSE completed the 5-day Faculty Development Programme on Building Advanced Data Analytics Applications with Cloud under the NextGen Employability Programme organised by ATAL in association with AICTE
- Ms. J. Limsa Joshi, AP/CSE completed the Microsoft, SAP, and AICTE-led FDP on Applied Cloud Computing for Full Stack Web Development under TechSaksham from 5th to 9th February, 2024.
- Dr. L. Remegius Praveen Sahayaraj, AP/CSE completed the DevOps workshop with Cloud Train and is certified as a DevOps Associate.

- Dr. G. R. Jainish, ASP/CSE and Dr. Mary Virgil Nithya, AP/CSE attended the Naan Mudhalvan training for faculty on IoT at work and Prompt Engineering from 11th March to 16th March 2024 at Madras Institute of Technology (MIT), Chennai.
- Dr. G. R. Jainish, ASP/CSE and Ms. A. Jeevitha, AP/CSE participated in 5-days FDP on Cyber Security, Cyber Defence and Digital Forensics conducted by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Jerusalem College of Engineering, Chennai from 01st to 05th April 2024.
- Dr. V. J. Sharmila, ASP/CSE completed a NPTEL Online 12 weeks course on Fundamental Algorithms: Design and Analysis.
- Ms. P. Delphy, AP/CSE and Ms. Daya Mary Mathew, AP/CSE completed a 12 week NPTEL course on Introduction to Programming in C.
- Dr. P. Arul Mozhi, AP/CSE successfully completed a 12-weeks course on Data Analytics with Python offered by NPTEL.
- Dr. V. J. Sharmila, AP/CSE and Ms. Daya Mary Mathew participated in a one week FDP on Mathematical Foundation for AI,ML and Data Science organized by the Department of Mathematics, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Vadapalani Campus, Chennai from 11th to 19th June 2024.

Sharmila, HoD/CSE participated in a six-day online Faculty Development Programme on Cyber Security from 17th to 22nd June, 2024 organized by the Department of Information Technology, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, Chennai in association with University Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Malaysia.

Dr V J Sharmila , Associate Professor, completed Ph.D. in the Faculty of Information and Communication in the year 2023 from Anna University, Chennai, India. She has completed her Masters in Computer Science and Engineering in the year 2008 from Dr Sivanthi Aditanar College of Engineering,Tiruchendur, India. She has got an experience of 14 years in teaching and research. She has published four articles in International Journals and 2 presentations in Conferences and recognized research supervisor of Anna University, Chennai. Dr G R Jainish
Dr G R Jainish has completed her Ph.D in Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering in the year 2019. She has qualified UGC-NET in Computer Science and Applications. She has been the Co-investigator for the project “Multiframe – Super Resolution of 3D CMR for Improved Diagnosis of Coronary Heart Disease” funded by AICTE. She has published 10 research articles in Journals including Springer publication and 17 papers in conferences. She worked as Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Dr.Sivanthi Aditanar College of Engineering, before joining LICET. She also has experience in preparation of documents for AICTE Approval process and NBA accreditation. She has 16+ years of experience in teaching and her areas of specialization include Medical Imaging, Machine Learning, Deep Learning and IoT.

Ms Sathia Priya R
Ms Sathia Priya R has wide teaching experience in reputed institutions and has taught various courses for B.E., M.E., M.C.A, and M.Phil. Degree Programmes. She has a post-graduate degree in Systems Engineering and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Anna University. She is the recipient of Prof. T.R. Natesan Endowment Award and Silver medal for securing the second position in M.E. Her research interests include Big Data Frameworks and Machine Learning.

Dr Remegius Praveen Sahayaraj L completed Ph.D. in the Faculty of Information and Communication in the year 2023 from Anna University, Chennai, India. He has completed his Masters in Computer Science and Engineering in the year 2013 from SRM University, Chennai, India. He has got an experience of 9+ years in teaching and research. Currently he is working as an Assistant Professor in Loyola-ICAM College of Engineering and Technology, Chennai, India. He has published 7 articles in International Journals and 5 presentations in International Conferences. He is an active reviewer of research articles in IEEE and other reputed International Journals. His research interests include Cloud Computing, IoT, Web Security, Managing Spatial Data in Cloud and Log Analysis.

Dr. Mary Virgil Nithya S has completed her Full-Time Ph.D. in Faculty of Information and Communication Engineering from College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University, Chennai. She is also a recognized research supervisor of Anna University. She has got almost 7 years of industry experience and has been working in LICET since 2021. She has published papers in Scopus indexed journals and her areas of interest include Data security, Cryptography and Cloud computing.

Ms P Delphy completed her Undergraduate in Computer Science and Engineering (B.E CSE) with First Class in 2015 and her Masters in Computer Science and Engineering (M.E CSE) with First Class Distinction in 2017. She secured the 12th Rank in Anna university in her masters degree. She has an experience of 4+ years as Assistant Professor and as Placement Coordinator in the department of Computer Science and Engineering at E.G.S.Pillay Engineering College, Nagapattinam, Tamilnadu. She has presented research articles in National and international Conferences. Her areas of interest include cryptography, network security and database.
Ms Daya Mary Mathew
Ms Daya Mary Mathew has received Master’s Degree for Computer Science and Engineering from APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (Kerala) in 2017. She has 9.5 years of experience in the IT industry. She has worked as faculty in Jeppiaar Institute and Technology and Rajalakshmi Engineering College prior to joining LICET in August 2022. She has presented research articles in National and international Conferences. Her areas of interest include Data Mining, Machine Learning and Cryptography.

Dr. P. Arulmozhi has completed her full time Ph.D. in Faculty of Information and Communication Engineering from CEG, Guindy, Chennai in the year 2022. She has 10 years of teaching experience. Her area of interest includes Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Image Retrieval.

Completed B.E. from Loyola-ICAM College of Engineering and Technology and M.E. from Arupadai Veedu Institute of Technology, graduating with first-class distinction and securing a university rank. Currently, she is pursuing Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning. She has previously worked as an Assistant Professor at Panimalar Engineering College. Additionally, she has completed certifications from IIT-M in Advanced Programming Professional and Master Data Science. She has published two papers in Scopus journals and presented at conferences. Her area of interest include Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Deep Learning.

Ms. L. Freesie Greta
Ms. L. Freesie Greta is an Assistant Professor with a passion for teaching and 9 years of experience in the field. She earned her B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University and her M.E. in the same discipline from Anna University. Throughout her career, she has handled various subjects for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, guiding numerous projects at both levels. She has organized events such as Faculty Development Programs (FDP) and has experience managing various academic files, contributing to NBA Criteria 5. With a strong interest in cybersecurity, she aims to pursue a Ph.D. in this specialization in the near future.
